Costas Vournas received the Diploma of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University  of  Athens  (NTUA)  in  1975,  the  M.Sc. in  Electrical  Engineering  from  the  University  of Saskatchewan,  Saskatoon,  Canada  in  1978,  and  the NTUA Doctor of Engineering degree in 1986. He is currently Professor in the Electrical Energy Systems Laboratory of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of NTUA. He has co-authored the book Voltage Stability of Electric Power Systems.  His research interests are in the area of power system dynamics, stability and control and include voltage stability and security analysis, wind generator integration in power systems novel control applications in the distribution and transmission grid, as well as the effect of deregulation on power system operation and control.
Vasileios Nikolaidis received the Diploma of Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Democritus University of Thrace, Xanthi, Greece, in 2001, the M.Eng. degree in Energy Engineering and Management from National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Athens, Greece, in 2002, and the Doctor of Engineering (PhD) from NTUA, in 2007. Since 2008 he has been working as a power systems consulting engineer, where he conducted several projects concerning power system planning, operation, protection, control, stability, and transients. Currently he is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Democritus University of Thrace, Greece. His research interests mainly deal with power system protection, control, stability, and transients.

Panos Mandoulidis received the diploma of Electrical Engineering in 2010 from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) with an expertise in Power Systems Dynamics & Control. From 2012 to 2015 he worked as a Control Systems Engineer and since 2015 he has been working as a Power Systems Engineer. In 2021 he received the Doctor of Engineering again from NTUA, specializing in Voltage Stability of Bulk Power Systems and Real-Time System Monitoring. He has delivered numerous projects in Power Systems Planning, Transmission Expansion and Operational Planning for several clients from the Renewable Energy, Oil & Gas Sectors, as well as for TSOs. His professional and research interests include power system dynamics, control and monitoring, integration of renewable energy sources in transmission systems, as well as transmission system planning and operation.
